LEARN TO TALK WITH MARIO

Yes people, this is the latest "educational thing" in our house. Put Mario 64 on the Nintendo, play and teach your baby to talk at the same time! April has learned to say "yahoooo!" (most amusing) and "Okey dokey" from the little plumber. She has also got Bowser's manic (bwa-ha-ha-haaaaa) laugh off perfectly lol!

April's other love at the moment is a raggedy old Barbie doll that Uncle Rob gave her (please don't ask why Uncle Rob had a barbie doll in the first place ....lol). She now carries this madly-out-of-proportion plastic woman around with her, continually saying "Barrrbeeeeee!".

As if that wasn't enough she has also developed a hilarious way of saying goodbye when anyone leaves our house. She'll charge across the living room to the front door going "byyyyeeeeeee!!" as she goes and then run back to the living room window, stick her face against the glass and wave madly. Very cute and very funny :)

Other than that, there's not much going on. Oh, we have decided to use the Oak Meadow curriculum starting from the beginning of June. This does NOT look very good as far as my shop selling my own written curriculum goes, I'm aware of that, but Rosie just SO desperately needs work that allows her to express her creativity and do a tonne of drawing and painting. No other curriculum other than a Waldorfy one does that, hence Oak Meadow (which is more waldorf inspired rather than strictly Waldorf) Anyhow, we've not been able to afford it before, but they've just started offering a subscription service whereby you pay $35 (about £18) a month and access the lessons that way rather than being sent a packaged curriculum in the post. So now it's affordable, we thought we'd have a go.
