A FUN AUTUMN ACTIVITY

Today we started our leaf shape identification lessons - a perfect thing to do at this time of year! :) We first used a leaf shape chart (available from montessorimaterials.org) and leaf shape riddle cards (also from montessori materials).

Then we went out in the garden and carried on the leaf hunt that Rosie started yesterday - we found a bagload and brought them back in and matched them up to the leaves on the chart. Finally, we got some pieces of sturdy paper, labelled the top of each one with a leaf shape name and glued the leaves onto the correct pages.

I can see this being an ongoing thing until Rosie has filled up the book! :)
